A lead Scientist with the Agricultural Research Service at the United States of America Department of Agriculture (USDA) and an Adjunct Professor of the University, Dr. Akwasi Boateng has presented to the Library of the University of Energy and Natural Resources, 13 books in the field of Engineering and Sciences in aid of teaching, learning and research in the University.
Dr. Boateng donated a copy of his book titled “Rotary Kilns, Transport Phenomena and Transport Processes” to the University Library during his visit to UENR earlier this year. The books were received by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Harrison Dapaah together with the Pro Vice-Chancellor, Prof Emmanuel Opuni Frimpong and the Registrar, Mr. Solomon Panford for the University library.
The Vice-Chancellor at the glance of the books was enthused with the genre of books donated to the University. He expressed his pleasure to Dr. Boateng through the Head of the University Library, Madam Mercy Ama Asafu-Adjaye who presented the books on his behalf.
Madam Ama Asafu-Adjaye also extended her appreciation to Dr. Boateng saying the books would be processed and added to the Library collections to assist in the teaching, learning and research activities in the University. She called on all philanthropists to show more of such kind heartedness to the University.
