The UENR Credit Union has been officially admitted to the Credit Union Association of Ghana (CUA)after successfully meeting the requirements to be a qualify member of the Association. The Board and Committee Members of the Credit Union were presented with the Certificate of affiliation at a short ceremony held at the UENR Graduate School conference room in Sunyani.
The Manager of the Brong Ahafo Chapter of Credit Unions, Mr. Ralio Bakers in a brief speech highlighted the benefits of being associated with the mother body of all Credit Unions in Ghana. He acknowledged the achievements and growth of the UENR Credit Union over the past six years and commended the Board and Management of the UENR Credit Union for the great efforts made to get the Union formally accepted to the national body making them more authentic. Mr. Bakers admonished the Board Members and Management to continue to soar higher to become the premier tertiary Credit Union in the Bono Region and the largest in the country.
The Chairman of the UENR Credit Union Board, Mr. Alfred Ohenenana Appiah receiving the certificate, expressed his appreciation to the officials from the CUA for their immense advisory services and contributions made towards the acquisition of the certification as a fully-fledged member of CUA. He assured that management would continue to work hard and partner with the regional Chapter and CUA to reach greater heights.
Other Board members and management of UENR Credit Union present at the ceremony were Mr. Augustine Opoku-Mensah, Mr. Asante Kwame Paapa, Mr. Richard Baffour Okyere, Mrs. Vera Fafa Doyo Setsoafia, Mr. Osei Owusu-Ansah and Mr. Christian Yao Agbodzah.
