Dr. Gilbert Mensah is current the Acting Director and a Senior Programmer, Analyst, Engineer, and Theologian, respectively.
He holds a PhD in Theology, an MSc in IT (Software Engineering), and a BSc in Computer Science from these universities: Northwestern University (USA), Sikkim Manipal University (India), and the University of Ghana (Legon) from the years 2020–2022, 2013–2015, and 2004–2008, respectively.
He is certified in Enterprise Software Development (ESD) and Database Management System Architecture (DBMSA).
He began his early career at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, KNUST in May 2008, where he was later posted to the KNUST Sunyani Campus of the Faculty of Forest Resources and Technology to head the UITS section of the faculty, now the University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR).
He has served both universities with diligence, rising through the ranks from Senior IT Assistant to Senior Programmer/Analyst from 2008 to date in the IT Directorate of UENR.
He is currently the Lead Senior Programmer/Analyst and the Head of the Software Applications Development Division of the Directorate.
His area of interest focuses on building EPR systems for organizations like banks, universities, and other institutions.
He is also a Theologian with research interests in biblical studies, with a particular emphasis on African Christian traditions and customs.
In 2010, he was the first to establish the university network.
He was the first IT staffer in the Directorate.
He finally joined UENR on August 1, 2013, after a successful transition from KNUST to UENR as a continuation of service.
He is the originator of the USIS, which started in 2007 and now has been enhanced to become “The Academic Tracker.”
He is the lead Developer/Analyst of the Applications/Software UENR is using today.

– The Academic Tracker (TAT)
– Fees Collection System (FCS)
– Hostel Management Portal (HMP)
– Industrial Attachment Portal (IAP)
– The electronic Office (TEO)/Document Management System (DMS)
– API for Integrations to other external Systems
– Examination Pass Scanner and Others
– Conference Management System
– Grants Management System
He also works as a software consultant for a variety of organizations both within and outside Ghana.
He is an accomplished Software Engineer who would like to deploy technology to meet institutional demand.
He is an expert in the programming languages C, C++, C#.Net, and JAVA, as well as a strong backend developer.
His PhD dissertation was on “The Faith of Abraham in Genesis 11:27–12:9 and Its Impact on Ghanaian Culture, Especially the Akans’ “The Faith of Our Fathers.

– Building Enterprise Resource Planning System (ERPS) to meet organizational needs.
He is the Resident Minister/Pastor at Royalhouse Chapel International, Apostolic Grace Temple, Sunyani.

He is married to Sandra O. Mensah (Mrs.) and they are blessed with three children, namely Navas, Pharez, and Lady Michelle-Ori.
