Samuel Kweku Konney Amponsah is a lecturer in the Department of Fisheries and Water Resources at the University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR) in Sunyani. He obtained his undergraduate and M.Phil. degrees in Oceanography and Fisheries Science and Fisheries Sciences, respectively, from the University of Ghana. Amponsah is currently pursuing his Ph.D. at the University of Ghana, where he is researching the use of fish assemblages as ecological indicators of human activities in Ghana’s coastal environment. Amponsah is also creating a comprehensive database of inland fish data for stock assessment and management.
