Dr Seyramsarah Blossom Setufe is a Lecturer in the Department of Fisheries and Water Resources, School of Natural Resources, University of Energy and Natural Resources, Sunyani. She had her first degree from the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) where she obtained a Bachelor’s degree in B. Agric. Tech after which she proceeded to the University of Ibadan for her Masters and PhD in Aquaculture and Fisheries Management. She is a fellow of Wageningen Centre of Development and Innovation (WCDI), Netherlands. She has been an active member and coordinator of several university’s committees such as the Department Industrial attachment, member of the Academic Board, Coordinator of Aquaculture Teaching and Research Centre, University’s Examination Chief Invigilator, etc. Currently, she is an active member of various local, regional and international academic organisations which include University Teachers’ Association of Ghana (UTAG), Ghana Science Association (GSA), National Treasurer of Fisheries and Aquaculture Society, Ghana (FaSOG), OWSD, GHaWard and NiWard, West African Chapter of World Aquaculture Society (WAS). She was Head of the Department of Fisheries and Water Resources, UENR (2021-2022 SESSION). She has been involved in projects such as Greppao an EU funded Project on Management and Resilience of Small Pelagic Fisheries in West Africa (GREPPAO), WAMBA-NET- Project on West African Marine Fish DNA barcoding network. Her research interests are as follows:
• Fish nutrition and fish health.
• Eco-friendly management practices in coastal and inland waters.
• Fish processing, preservation and bio-safety for food security.
• Climate- smart Aquaculture and Fisheries management in the blue economy for sustainable livelihoods.
• Integrated Water Resources Management
